CGI and Practical effects

This article talks about the differences between CGI and practical effects in movies. For example in Jurassic park you can tell the T-Rex is actually with the actors, rather than being put in during post production. Jurassic Park and movies before it relied on practical affects because CGI wasn't invented yet. After it's introduction arguments began over which form of effects was superior, but according to 2 authorities in practical effects Rick Baker and Tom Savini CGI and practical effects are actually better as a team and together can create even better movies.

As someone who actually enjoys both forms of effects it was nice to see someone who matters in the field of effects who says that both forms work together perfectly instead of being conflicting alternatives and  i didn't actually know that the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park weren't CGI.... and that's actually all I have to say as far as an opinion goes.
